ABOUT RESEARCH PROGRAMMES The Institute offers Ph.D. programmes in the disciplines of Computer Science and Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Mathematics, Mechanical Engineering and Physics. Strong expertise exists among the faculty on both the theoretical and experimental methods of research.
Ph.D. ADMISSION 3.1 Financial Assistance: The scholars admitted to the Ph.D. programmes under the regular scheme (Fulltime) are eligible for the Half-time Teaching/Research Assistantship (HTRA) under the following regulations:
(a) The scholars should work for 8 hours per week to earn this assistantship.
(b) Renewal of assistantship every semester will be contingent on enrolment, satisfactory progress in research work and good performance during the preceding semester in the discharge of responsibility as teaching/ research assistant.
a) In Engineering for those with Master’s Degree in Engineering -Rs.18,000/- p.m. for first 2 years & Rs.20,000/- p.m. for next 2 years
b) In Engineering for those admitted directly with B.E / B.Tech degrees -Rs.16,000/- p.m. for first 2 years & Rs.18,000/- p.m. for next 3 years
c) In Sciences -Rs.16,000/- p.m. for first 2 years & Rs.18,000/- p.m. for next 3 years
