The Institute of Bioresources and Sustainable Development (IBSD) is one of the autonomous institutes under the Department of Biotechnology (DBT), Ministry of Science & Technology, Govt. of India. The objective of IBSD is to develop and utilize the rich bioresources of the Northeastern Region of the country through the application of modern tools of biology and biotechnology. The institute invites application for the following posts for its DBT funded project entitled “Distributed Information Sub-Centre (DISC)” initially for a period of 1 year or till the completion of the project whichever is earlier.

1. Information Officer 1 1st Class M.Sc. in Biotechnology/Bioinformat ics/any discipline of Biological Sciences or Bachelor of Engineering in Electrical/Electronics/Computer Science/Communication or Advance Diploma in Bioinformatics.
Desirable: Working experience in Bioinformatics tools and applications.
Pay-Scale - Rs. 8000-275-13500
Age - 35 years

2. Technical Assistant 1 B.Sc. with Botany/Zoology/Biochemistry/Biotechnology as one of the subjects or 3 years
Diploma in Electrical/Electronics/Computer Science/Communication Engineering.
Desirable: Working experience in the field of Bioinformatics for database preparation in biodiversity.
Pay-Scale - Rs. 5500-175-9000
Age - 35years

Age shall be relaxed to SC/ST/PH/Women & OBC candidates upto 5 years and 3 years respectively, as per GoI instructions. The appointment will be purely on contractual basis and the incumbent shall not have any legal right to claim for regular appointment in IBSD/DBT. However, the Institute is trying to create the above posts.
