NCRMI an organization spearheading various R&D projects in the traditionalsegment of Coir was established in 1994, under the name C-DOCT to cater the varied needs of coir sector of Kerala. It is registered under the Travancore-Cochin Literary Scientific and Charitable Societies Act 1956. NCRMI have been conducting studies for the development of new coir technologies in collaboration with similar research organizations across the country and even at the International level.
