CWE COMMON WRITTEN EXAMINATION | FOR BANK POS RECRUITMENT

Finally the Common Entrance Test / Common Entrance Exam for selection in Bank PO is out of its shell. This is a centralized examination for the post of Assistant Manager in Government/ Public Sector banks.

This system of Common Examination for recruitment of Probationary Officers/ Management Trainees has been approved by each of the 19 participating Public Sector Banks and the Managing Committee of the Indian Banks’ Association (IBA) with the consent of the Government of India.

Eligibility:
Education—> Degree (any discipline) or equivalent qualification from a recognized University or recognized from the central government.
Age Limit as on 01.07.2011)—>
20 – 30 years
Syllabus for Written Examination and Composite Time Duration: Reasoning, Quantitative Aptitude, English Language, General Awareness with special reference to banking industry and Computer Knowledge; all these sections will comprise the Objective part of the written test which will be of 150 minutes (2 and 1/2 hrs) duration. The Descriptive part of the written examination will be based on English Composition (Essay, Précis, Letter Writing etc) and it will be of 60 minutes i.e. 1 hr. The descriptive test will take place separately after the candidates are done with their objective test.
Application Fees: Rs. 450/- for Gen/ OBC and all others and Rs. 50/- only for SC/ ST/ PWD category candidates. The fees can be paid either through online of offline mode.
