- Basic knowledge of VLSI manufacturing processes
- Material characterisation: Optical, SEM
- Image processing techniques

Travel requirement: More than 80% overseas
Job Description:
Semiconductor inspection and metrology equipments consist of advanced optical and SEM based imaging system together with complex image processing algorithms. The entire system operation, calibration and output data analysis is done through integrated software applications.
Applications engineering involves:
- A deep and thorough understanding of use cases and accordingly maximising the product performance during customer demonstration and on-site evaluation and subsequent adoption.
- Detailed technical analysis of issues and collaboration with software, algorithm, system and hardware groups
- New feature qualification in R&D
- Spec definition for continuous improvement
- Best Known Method (BKM) generation
